Primaries are done for the most part, and I can't say that I'm not overall pleased with the results. I'm glad a lot of conservatives won the nomination and now we all need to focus in and take over congress.
First things first, I want to make sure I am not only a negative blogger. I know that a lot (probably close to all) of my posts have been sarcastic, critical, and overall a bash of the current administration. Now I am not apologizing for that, nor am I taking it back, I am simply stating that I do not want to be known as "that negative conservative who never has anything good to say."
So, for a change in pace, lets see if I can have a positive spin on this post. While monitoring the Florida gubernatorial race, I felt a twinge of annoyance at the political ads that were posted this summer. It was a constant Rick Scott v Bill Mccollum back and forth over who was the dirtiest politician.
Personally, I would much rather hear about what someone believes and how they are going to stand by their beliefs. I don't like attack ads, I like promotional ads. That being said, I am glad to have a new face in the race for the Governor of Florida. Way to go conservatives! We're on the right track.
And here is where I am going to stray from my positive outlook. Because this is something that I despise more than attack ads. I can not stand Charlie Crist, and politicians like him. For that is what they are, politicians.
They do not care about their constituents, they care about their political career. This man ( a term which I use lightly because I think a man should stick by his beliefs instead of run from his political party when it is in his best political interest) has done everything wrong in my book.
When his political gain ended with one party, he switched to independent because he knew he would not gain the Republican nomination. People like this make me absolutely sick. Because this means he was never really a Republican, but only a RINO ( sorry Rush, gotta steal your term, this is a Republican in name only).
It really aggravates me to no end. And its not only Crist (Who also hugged Obama upon meeting him), its plenty of others who changed their tune. Some however, changed from calling themselves moderate to conservative, when they realized it was in their best political interest.
It kills me. I absolutely detest these people. And I have no respect for them. So I ask all people, especially Flordians, pay attention to politicians who turn on those they had first associated with. Because if they'll turn on them for political gain, then they will turn again after you vote for them.
