The Monument to 9/11 Bombers

I'm so glad that the president decided to support the monument to Hitler that they are building near Auschwitz. I think it is so good that our leader understands that Nazis don't need to have courtesy for those who they hurt. If they have the money to build this monument, then why should the government be allowed to stop them?

Sound a little ridiculous? I think so too. The fact that Obama isn't disgusted by even the proposal of a mosque being built on ground zero is absolutely appalling. This argument isn't so much about freedom of religion or separation of church and state, but about what this mosque represents.

Tradition is for Muslims to claim buildings as mosques on grounds which they have conquered. And to think that this is any different is the height of ignorance.

Imam Feisal Rauf, who wants to build this mosque, is a man who has no problem lying in order to advance the causes of Islam (taqiyya is a form of deception that Muslims may use toward non Muslims in order to further the cause of Islam). So to take his word that this mosque is anything but a tribute to the 9/11 bombers is both stupid and naive.

To read more on this man click here.

This is a man who, when interviewed on September 30, 2001 said that:

"The attacks were “a reaction against the U.S. government politically, where we espouse principles of democracy and human rights, [yet] … ally ourselves with oppressive regimes in many of these countries. … [U.S.] policies were an accessory to the crime that happened."
He had the nerve to blame the murder of thousands of US civilians on the US government. Is it so surprising that this man wants to claim ground zero as a victory for Islam? I don't think so.

The funding for this mosque also poses and intriguing problem with their claim. Much of the money comes from organizations and countries with ties to terrorism. For example, the largest donation comes from Qatar, which is known to have terrorist financiers, some suspected to be inside of the government.

Sound innocent to you? Because it seems extremely obvious to me.

How the president could not openly oppose the construction of this 13 story mosque is beyond me. I cannot understand why any American would be remotely okay with this.

On top of all of this, Feisal Rauf wants to make sharia law the law in the United States. He claims that the constitution is compliant with shariah law. It protects the life, mind, religion, property, and family. Shariah law does not protect non Muslims. So imposing Shariah law here in the US would seriously impose on almost everyone's freedoms.

I could truthfully go on about this for a very long time. So I'm going to call this post here. I will say, however, that this president has gone against the American people on every issue. And with one as personal as this, he should have stood with us, instead of against us.

Disclaimer: I am in no way intentionally insulting those who survived or died in the holocaust. My comparison was to illustrate a point, not to insult.
