My friend and I often talk about our frustration with the incompetent people running our country. Once we were talking about an ignorant liberal who continued to post ridiculous arguments on my facebook status. He had already graduated from school and she brought up a very interesting point.
How could anyone who went to college be liberal? Seriously, you work hard for 4 or 5 years, more for even higher education. How could you possibly want to just give away what you worked hard to get to someone who just sits and doesn't do anything?
To some this sounds cruel and heartless. To them the question is how can privileged people not want to give to those less fortunate? Well I have no problem helping people who are down. But I think that the individual should choose to help. And
I am in no way interested in a hand out. People need to work. That's just part of life. If I have to do it then they should too. That's fair.
Liberals will talk about being "fair." Well to me, it's not fair that some people work their butts off and they get their wealth given to people who do not work. How can someone want to give away the life they worked hard to get?
If you are being lazy, then why should I have to prop you up? Why does everything have to be equal when the input isn't? I'm working hard to get my education in order to pay for the lifestyle I want later.
That's why it makes no sense for someone who goes/went to college to be a liberal. You know what it's like to work hard. Why should everyone receive the benefits you do when they didn't work for it?

Death and Taxes... and they're making sure of it
"In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes" and this administration is making sure of it. Ben Franklin summed up this presidency in a very concise statement. Taxes a given on this president's agenda, but the amount of taxes may surprise many people.
The Bush tax cuts are about to expire, meaning that all of our taxes are about to go sky high. And it's not only going to affect the rich, it'll affect everyone. Personally, I enjoy keeping the money I work for. This is not the only thing that will surprise people come next April.
The president and his minions have decided that the health benefits that you receive should be counted as income. So, for example, if you are making $30,000 a year, but your health benefits add up to $10,000, then you will now be taxed in the $40,000 bracket.
Just as an FYI to those who voted for this man, this will NOT only affect those who make over 250k a year. This gets everyone. Surprise surprise, they lied through their teeth.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm thinking that this huge tax increase isn't going to help our falling economy. Not only is this going to hurt the people of the country, but tax revenue is going to go down. Tax revenue going down means that things are going to get much worse for the country.
Is it so much to ask that they let us keep our money? Does it make any sense to tax people who are already struggling? Do they understand anything about economics?

Get them out!
Election day is quickly approaching. This is quit possibly the most important election we will vote in our lifetimes, with the exception of when we vote B. Hussien Obama out of office.
This is the time when we can show those people what happens when they stop listening to their constituents. After all of these months of having to sit idly by, watching them take our freedoms, we finally get our voices back.
We must get these people out of office. We have to get our country back. This is only the first step though.
The only real way to take our country off of the socialist path it is going is go get Obama out. We can paralyze his politics this election. But we have to get the presidency back. And by we, I mean conservatives.
I do not want a moderate in the office after we get Obama out. I have great respect for Senator McCain, but he is as liberal as a Republican can get. We need a conservative. Someone that we can trust to put our crumbling nation back together.
But we'll look at that when it gets here. Right now we must focus on getting those who voted to pass the you're not worth saving care bill out of office. So, here is a list of those who voted for it. Take a good look, and make note of any that are in your area. Let's show these scumbags what happens to their jobs when stop caring about what's best for the country.
Here are the names of those who are running for re election and voted to pass the bill:
Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-1), Harry E. Mitchell (AZ-5), Gabrielle Giffords(AZ-8), John Salazar (CO-3), Betsy Markey (CO-4). Allen Boyd (FL-2),Suzanne M. Kosmas (FL-24), Baron P. Hill (IN-9), E......arl Pomeroy (ND-AL),Charlie Wilson (OH-6), John Boccieri (OH-16), Kathy Dahlkemper (PA-3),Christopher Carney (PA-10), John M. Spratt, Jr. (SC-5), Tom Perriello(VA-5), Alan B. Mollohan (WV-1), and Nick J. Rahall II (WV-3).

Obamacare... an oxymoron
I was listening to the podcast of Rush Limbaugh's Friday show. And along with other things he mentioned Obamacare. This is the common term used for the sickening piece of legislation this administration passed in March.
Upon thinking about this I decided that really, that term is an oxymoron. Because, in fact, Obama does not care. If he did care, he would not have signed the piece of legislation that hands over 1/6 of our economy to the government. A bill that allows the government to decide whether or not you get treatment. A bill that increases the interest on student loans in order to pay for health care. A bill that funds abortions with OUR money. And most importantly, a bill that 55% of Americans oppose.
Does this sound like a man that cares for you? Does it sound like someone who cares about what the American people want? Does it sound like a leader?
I get that calling it health care reform is just as bad. Obamacare was coined to call it what it is, a total health care overhaul by one man who has decided what is best for you and your family. But I think putting Obama and care in the same word is a terrible misappropriation.
Calling anything Obamacare is like calling something Pelosipretty or Bidenclassy. It makes no sense. It's an oxymoron.
So I've come up with a few alternatives. They are slightly more appropriate considering the bill in question. Maybe destroy doctors care. Or perhaps bankrupt the heath industry care. Or you're not worth saving care. All of these are very applicable. I think the last one is the catchiest.
Unfortunately, Obamacare has already become the term of choice these days. I do believe it is a more fitting term than the liberals use. While I hope "you're not worth saving care" catches on, I think the most important thing is to stop this bill by supporting those who want to repeal it.
Which is where I will pick up next time. I just hope that now when you talk about you're not worth saving care and you hear the term "Obamacare" you'll think of the paradox the term carries.

My Grandfather's Son
Clarence Thomas' life is nothing but incredible. In his autobiography My Grandfather's Son, he tells his rags to riches story. But this is the kind of rags to riches that I really enjoy reading about. Not only because it is real, but because it was not given to him, he earned it.
This book was interesting, thought provoking and moving. Justice Thomas lived a life full of obstacles, but he overcame each of them. From poverty, to his own radical liberal thinking, to his difficult confirmation hearing, he pulled through. Serving on the Supreme court as a black conservative, he showed me that anything is possible if you do what is right and work hard at it.
Those were the values that Thomas' grandfather thought him. The values which he lives by. Thomas offers insight on many issues that are relevant right now. And each page had something of value in it.
I highly recommended this book. It was well worth my time. And if you enjoy reading about someone who beats odds stacked against them, then it'll be worth yours too.
