"In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes" and this administration is making sure of it. Ben Franklin summed up this presidency in a very concise statement. Taxes a given on this president's agenda, but the amount of taxes may surprise many people.
The Bush tax cuts are about to expire, meaning that all of our taxes are about to go sky high. And it's not only going to affect the rich, it'll affect everyone. Personally, I enjoy keeping the money I work for. This is not the only thing that will surprise people come next April.
The president and his minions have decided that the health benefits that you receive should be counted as income. So, for example, if you are making $30,000 a year, but your health benefits add up to $10,000, then you will now be taxed in the $40,000 bracket.
Just as an FYI to those who voted for this man, this will NOT only affect those who make over 250k a year. This gets everyone. Surprise surprise, they lied through their teeth.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm thinking that this huge tax increase isn't going to help our falling economy. Not only is this going to hurt the people of the country, but tax revenue is going to go down. Tax revenue going down means that things are going to get much worse for the country.
Is it so much to ask that they let us keep our money? Does it make any sense to tax people who are already struggling? Do they understand anything about economics?
