My friend and I often talk about our frustration with the incompetent people running our country. Once we were talking about an ignorant liberal who continued to post ridiculous arguments on my facebook status. He had already graduated from school and she brought up a very interesting point.
How could anyone who went to college be liberal? Seriously, you work hard for 4 or 5 years, more for even higher education. How could you possibly want to just give away what you worked hard to get to someone who just sits and doesn't do anything?
To some this sounds cruel and heartless. To them the question is how can privileged people not want to give to those less fortunate? Well I have no problem helping people who are down. But I think that the individual should choose to help. And
I am in no way interested in a hand out. People need to work. That's just part of life. If I have to do it then they should too. That's fair.
Liberals will talk about being "fair." Well to me, it's not fair that some people work their butts off and they get their wealth given to people who do not work. How can someone want to give away the life they worked hard to get?
If you are being lazy, then why should I have to prop you up? Why does everything have to be equal when the input isn't? I'm working hard to get my education in order to pay for the lifestyle I want later.
That's why it makes no sense for someone who goes/went to college to be a liberal. You know what it's like to work hard. Why should everyone receive the benefits you do when they didn't work for it?
